Henry Shuso Tange |
was born to Shimataro and Hamayo Tange in Clovis, California. He attended Lincoln Elementary School in Clovis and Granville Elementary School in Sanger. While at Sanger High School, he played football and participated in the Future Farmers of America Club. Following his graduation from Sanger High, Henry worked on the family farm until after the beginning of World War II, when his family was interned to Poston, Arizona camp II. While in the camp, he went out of camp to work on furloughs, planting and harvesting potatoes, tomatoes, peaches, and watermelons in Idaho, Colorado, and Texas.
After the end of World War II, Henry returned to the family farm in Sanger and later met and married Beatrice Kondo. They raised four children.
Henry is survived by his four children, Suzanne Tange, Chris (Jill) Tange, and Clyde (Cathy) Tange and grandchildren.
