Chiyeko was born on February 25,
1926 in the Imperial Valley. She was
evacuated and incarcerated at Poston, Arizona and completed high school there.
Chiyeko married Mitsuo Takemoto in 1949 and raised her family in Gilroy.
She was an avid gardener and talented
needlecrafter. Chiyeko Takemoto, a
resident of Gilroy, died on February 20, 2012.
She is predeceased by her son, David.
Chiyeko is survived by husband, Mitsuo; and daughters, Barbara, Marsha, and Anne Steven.
